    Teacher websites and access to information online is really important. Some schools require this information to be readily available to the public. I found a teacher website for a teacher at my old high school. Information on this website included her different preps that she taught displayed on the top menu bar. The menu bar included general IA tips (an IB class requirement), AP statistics information, Honors Statistics information, and Analysis and Interpretations information. The tabs had information about summer homework, class expectations, test prep, and syllabi.

    I envision myself using technology in the classroom daily. I think supplemental videos and games is important to keep students engaged. I really like platforms like Canvas for assignments and class dojo for class economies. I think as an elementary school teacher I will start to teach about the importance of using your own work and crediting sources and maybe include AI in that, but AI will not be allowed in the classroom. I think reliance on AI starting at elementary school is too soon. I think I might be using AI for lesson plan ideas or newsletter help, though. 

    I enjoyed my experience working on Assignment 2 using Canvas group. I really liked my group members, we worked very well together. I actually really enjoyed learning about how to use Canvas on the other end. I got a little frustrated when I had to embed information, but I got it eventually. I don't think I would recommend a different tool, this one was good.

     So far, I have been enjoying writing these blogs. It definitely helps me reflect on what we've learned in class and commit it to long term memory. I also like the autosave feature. I like to start the assignment at the beginning of the week and then add what I have learned as we go. This has been a really good strategy, but I also struggle with getting the blogs in on time because I work on them little by little. I don't know how to explain it fully, but because I have been working on it gradually, I forget that I did not actually turn it in.  1. I think I aquired a lot of new skills from working on the Web Design assignment. I think I am getting better at creating my Creative Commons Licenses for my work. I have gotten to the point where I know what I want to share and what I don't. I also think I caught on pretty quickly to linking external pages and my accounts to the website. I had always wondered how people did that, but now I know. I have also never been one to use Google Calendar, but being able to make the events show up in the shared, public Google Calendar was really easy. I think that would be a great tool in the classroom. The thing that I disliked about this assignemtn was Weebly. The site crashed while I was working on the assignment and deleted my work. It kept saying loading for 2 hours and when I refreshed my computer, all of my work was gone. I was able to redo my work, but it was a little frustrating.      While exploring the Florida standards on technology, I thought that the standard for applying foundational computer competency skills was particularly interesting. While looking at the 5th grade applications, this standard manifests as how to use technology and apply it to learning. The specific benchmarks included skills like typing with correct finger placement, putting together slides presentations, understanding keyboard shortcuts, and understanding how computers and their software work and interact. So, this standard deals with the actual implementation of computer skills and the students' ability to use computers for learning. I think I would be able to implement this skill set with the knowledge I already have.
